2017 & 2018 Illustration Institute Faison Residency Artist 

Lizzy is a multi-talented illustrator whose artwork appears in picture books, magazines, games, and on walls throughout her community. She studied art and art history at Connecticut College, as well as drawing and illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Lizzy is the illustrator of more than 25 children's books and the author and illustrator of Plants Feed MeGood Enough to Eat: A Kid's Guide to Food and NutritionHello Baby!, and The Busy Body Book: A Kid's Guide to Fitness. Her book  How Do You Feel? was first sketched at Illustration Institute’s Faison Residency.

About Illustration Institute
Illustration Institute raises appreciation for and awareness of illustration in its many forms. It offers people of all ages the opportunity to learn from master artists and working professionals through exhibitions, workshops, and talks at public libraries, museums, schools, and other community venues. Based in Maine, this non-profit arts organization was founded by Nancy Gibson-Nash and Scott Nash in 2016.

In June 2017, Illustration Institute launched a summer artist residency on Peaks Island, bringing narrative artists to stay, create, and share their work and creative process with the community.
