On July 25, The New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly and historian Heather Cox Richardson discussed women, cartoonists and history at The Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta, Maine.
Donnelly is an American cartoonist and writer, best known for her work in The New Yorker. She is the author of eighteen books and her Women on Men was a finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor. Current projects include the documentary “Women Laughing.”
Cox Richardson is a professor of history at Boston College, where she teaches courses on the American Civil War, the Reconstruction Era, the American West, and the Plains Indians. She previously taught history at MIT and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She publishes a daily newsletter about the history behind today's politics on Substack.
